Time to understand what is happening
A sprained ankle, a sore knee or a pulled muscle can keep you off the field longer than you want. Rest alone can leave the area weak or stiff, and going back too soon can set you back again.
We start by looking at the injury and how you move in your sport. Then we build your exercises step by step, so you return to running, skating or kicking at a pace your body can take.
Tell us how it happened
We ask about the injury, your sport and when your next game or race is. Your answers shape the plan.
Look at the injury and how you move
Your physiotherapist checks your strength, your balance and how far the joint moves, and may ask you to hop, squat or jog on the spot.
Build back to play
Exercises start gently and get harder as you are ready. We tell you when it may be time to try training again.
Questions before you book
Practical details about your first visit, appointment times and getting here.
How soon after an injury should I come in?
You can book as soon as you are hurt, so you know what to rest and what to keep doing. If you cannot put weight on it, or it looks badly swollen or out of shape, see a doctor or go to emergency first.
Can you tell me when I can play again?
We cannot promise a date, because every injury heals at its own pace. We tell you what we see and check your progress at each visit.
Do you only see serious athletes?
No. We see weekend athletes too: runners, rec league hockey and soccer players, and people who got hurt at the gym.
Will my insurance pay for it?
We bill most insurers directly. What you get back depends on your plan, so call us at (416) 555-0142 to ask about yours.
